Rydym yn falch iawn i fod yn ysgol Hawliau Plant sydd â gwobr efydd. Rydym yn anelu at ennill y wobr arian erbyn diwedd 2024!
We are proud to be a Bronze Level Rights Respecting School, and are currently working towards our silver accreditation by the end of 2024.
Beth ydy Hawliau Plant? What are Children's Rights?
Yng Nghymru, mae plant a phobl ifanc yn bwysig iawn. Dim ots lle maen nhw’n byw, mae ganddyn nhw’r hawliau yma ac mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi gwneud parchu'r hawliau yma yn gyfraith ledled Cymru. Mae gan blant a phobl ifanc 42 hawl dan Gonfensiwn y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Hawliau’r Plentyn. Mae’r 42 hawl yma yn cynnwys y pethau sydd ei angen ar blant i dyfu yn hapus, yn iach ac yn ddiogel. Yn 2011 Cymru oedd y wlad gyntaf i wneud y Confensiwn yn rhan o’i chyfraith. Gallwch ddarllen mwy am y mesur hwn yma. Isod mae animeiddiad byr yn dangos y modd y mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn ystyried hawliau plant wrth fynd ati i lunio polisïau.
In Wales children and young people are very important, no matter where you live, you have these rights. Children and young people have 42 rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). These 42 rights give children and young people what they need to grow up happily, healthily and safely. In 2011 Wales became the first country in the UK to make the UNCRC part of its domestic law. Mae UNICEF yn gweithio gydag ysgolion i greu lleoedd diogel ac ysbrydoledig i ddysgu, lle mae plant yn cael eu parchu, eu doniau’n cael eu meithrin a lle maen nhw’n gallu ffynnu. Mae ysgolion sydd â Hawliau Plant wrth wraidd ethos yr ysgol gyfan yn rhoi’r cyfle gorau i blant fyw bywydau hapus, iach ac i fod yn ddinasyddion cyfrifol a gweithgar.
Unicef works with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. Our Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens.
